Report on Celebration of Global Hand Washing Day 

 As we know that the Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of Hand Washing for reducing the spread of disease and protecting health. The Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India had decided to observe Global Hand Washing Day (GHD) on 15th October 2021 to highlight the significance of Hand Washing with soap. As Hand Washing with soap is critical for prevention of transmission of the COVID pandemic during the ongoing phased re-opening of schools.  The theme for GHD 2021 was ‘Our Future is at Hand – Let’s Move Forward Together’ and aimed to mobilize and bring hand hygiene as a fundamental component of public health and safety.

 In this regard, Hand Wash activity was undertaken on 15 October, 2021 by Air Force School Bhuj to spread the message of Global Hand Washing among students, teachers and parents. Students from pre-Primary and STD I to II along with Principal and Teachers participated in the activity.
