Mask, a form of disguise or concealment usually worn over or in front of the face to hide the identity of a person and by its own features to establish another being. . As cultural objects they have been used throughout the world in all periods since the Stone Age and have been as varied in appearance as in their use and symbolism. Mask makers use substances like woods, metals, shells, fibres, ivory, clay, horn, stone, feathers, leather, furs, paper, cloth, and corn husks. Masks generally are worn with a costume, often so extensive that it entirely covers the body and obscures the wearer’s recognizable features.
Young children also enjoy making and wearing masks . Mask making also develops the creativity among the children. It helps them to choose the right colours and show their artistic skills on paper.
