RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION

Raksha Bandhan was a day when celebration of love between brothers and sisters. Raksha Bandhan is a special occasion to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters symbolized by the tying of a holy thread began, Raksha Bandhan celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Sravana (July-Aug).

The auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan celebrated at Air Force School Bhuj by organizing a Rakhi Making Competition held on 5 Aug 20 for classes l to X. It was a day when young Air force School’s students turned into little artisans, with creativity and colours-red yellow and cyan. This year’s event was totally different from the previous years’ due to Coronavirus Pandemic.

Students were asked to make Rakhi at homes and send it in to class room app as school is not running due to lots of Coronavirus cases.

Rakhi Making Competition were conducted online by class teachers of respective classes. Students from Grade I to X enthusiastically participated in various ideas like using grass, crops, ear buds, cotton, Rudraksha, thread ,stones, colorful paper, ribbons etc.

Raksha Bandhan Competition was a success as many students participated in making different types of Rakhi.
