‘Sanskrit has moulded the minds of our people to the extent to which they themselves are not conscious. Sanskrit literature is national in one sense, but its purpose has been universal. It is not only language but a vehicle for thoughts and ideas.’ It has enriched our society from time immemorial. Sanskrit embodies the rich Indian cultural heritage. It is a real key to our past and helps unravel myriad mysteries in our ancient texts.
To commemorate the same, Air Force School Bhuj organized the ‘SHLOKA COMPETITION’ through which the importance of the language was conveyed with the spirit that as Indians, our identity is born of the Sanskrit language.
Sanskrit Shloka Competition was conducted to mark the importance of Sanskrit language. The main objective of competition was to promote Sanskrit and to educate the mass about importance and relevance of Sanskrit in modern era Students of STD VI and VIII participated with enthusiastically with flawless chanting of Shlokas. Principal Mrs Shalini Kaistha was pleased after seeing their performance, excitement and passion on stage. Ms Sonia Joshi judged the students on the basis of –

- Confidence and Presentation ability
- Clarity in Pronunciation
- Memory
