‘G 20 quiz and essay writing competition for classes 6 to 9’

 

Introduction :

 

“Competition whose motive is merely to compete, to drive some other fellow out, never carries very far. The competitor to be feared is one who never bothers about you at all, but goes on making his own business better all the time.” – Henry Ford

 

In order to launch a massive awareness campaign on India’s G20 Presidency, the school education department has decided to conduct various activities in all the schools to educate and sensitize the school going children and the teachers about the G20 and its significance under India’s presidency. Under this aim Air Force school, Bhuj has conducted quiz and essay writing competition for classes 6 to 9.

 

Aim :

The major aims of G 20 quiz and essay writing competition were- 

1. Create awareness among children the background of G-20 summit.
2. Develop knowledge among them about the importance of the summit.
3. Promote an understanding about the relevance of the focus areas.
4. Encourage children to creatively express their ideas on G-20, in shaping a better global order.

 

Concept :

The quiz questions were designed to increase awareness about G-20 and its importance in promoting peace and harmony for progress and development. It’s aim was not only to utilize students’ creative talents and energies, but also help them in their all-round development. Essay writing competition includes creating awareness about the historical background of G-20 Summit, developing knowledge about the objectives of the summit. Promoting understanding of its salient features and provisions and encouraging children to relate to different parameters of G-20.

 

Conclusion:

These competitions proved to be a sincere effort made by the school in educating the students to know about G-20 summit and it’s aims. Overall it was a fruitful experience and the students were in high spirits after participating in these competitions.
