“Together we can change this world by making everyone literate”

         International Literacy Day is observed on 8 September every year to raise awareness and concern for literacy problems that exist within our own local communities as well as globally.

         The theme of ‘International Literacy Day’ this year is “Transforming literacy learning spaces”. It will be celebrated worldwide to give the opportunity to rethink the fundamental importance of literacy.

          Air Force School Bhuj celebrated literacy day with full of enthusiasm. First of all class teacher introduced about why we celebrate literacy day….what is the importance etc. participation by classes 1 to 5 students brought their own story book (Hindi/English) and read story in front of their class.  Classes 6 to 8 students shared the names of favourite books and authors with the class. Classes 9 and 10 teachers given lecture on International Literacy Day and explain about 2022’s theme on literacy day. On the occasion of this day few students donated books in school library.

 At last, class teachers taken individual photo of students. Altogether international literacy day was successfully completed.
