NAVRATRI CELEBRATION

REPORT- NAVRATRI CELEBRATION

The word NAVRATRI is a combination of two words NAV which means the number nine and RATRI which means night.

                  The celebration of NAVRATRI in school is to teach students that it is celebrated in different form in India. For many people it is a time of religious reflection and fasting. While for others it is a time for dancing and feasting. It is a celebration of good being triumphant over evil. It is also a remembrance of the power of women. Each day is celebrated a different form of Mother Divine.

                 In Air Force School Bhuj, all the students and teachers gathered in the school assembly ground at 0900 AM. All were dressed in athnic and some even in actual GARVA attire. The girls were dressed in colourful `Ghagra Cholis` and boys were dressed in the beautiful ‘Kurta Pajamas` which was the theme for this event. The positive and energy exuberating out of the colourful costumes combined with the enthusiasm of Garva Dance created full of vigor and zest. Students along with the teacher in different groups of circle, enjoyed on the beats of music with full energy.  All of them celebrated the day with joy and cheer. The event became an excellent example of celebration of tradition. Through this celebration students learnt the values of togetherness and unity in diversity and spreading happiness students enjoyed playing Garva. The celebration created many everlasting memories to be cherished forever.
