India has a rich storage of art. From the traditional to the contemporary, India is fast budding itself as a key intention for those who love art. India is distinct from its rich traditional heritage of Tribal/Folk Arts and Culture. Since the days of distant past, the diversified art and cultural forms produced by the tribal and rural populace of India have continued to prove their creative splendour. Madhubani painting has its origins in Mithila region of Bihar. The painting is one of the oldest and most famous Indian art forms which is also practised in Nepal. Traces of Madhubani art can also be noticed in the Ramayana, the Indian epic. It is also known as Mithila or Madhubani art.
Children were once again made to identify different colours through this activity. The main motive behind this activity was to develop the motor skills of the children. For this they were asked to complete the given figure by pasting differently coloured paper bits onto it.
Children not only enjoyed this activity but were also able to revise their colour recognition ability and develop their motor skills. Further, they were able to develop their decision making power through this activity.
Overall it was a fun filled learning experience for the students which helped them to develop a sense of appreciation for the astonishing different art forms.
